Preparation for Doing Yoga

1. Set your goal and consider your health problem or condition,you are pregnant or you have back pain ,so that you can choose the suitable style for yourself.

2. You can practice at home by learning from Videos or DVDs, or even attend yoga class at yoga clubs.If so, subscribe to be a member of a good club near your home.

3. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to prepare your mind and find a good place to sit(recommend to sit in front of the class so that you will have a clear view of the teacher and vice versa.)

4. Practice on an empty stomach. Do not eat 2-3 hours prior to yoga practice. Juice or fruit are OK if you need quick energy before class. Drink plenty of water prior to class.

5. Dress appropriately. Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothing.

6. Begin with the basic level.

7. Notify the teacher of injuries or medical conditions. This helps the teacher to know how to assist you and give you modifications.

8. Pay attention to the detailed instructions of your instructor and concentrate on your breathing.
